Recruitment process starts with generating awareness about vacancies among potential candidates through different methods and users’ attitude remarkably affect the intention to use a specific recruitment method (HO et al.,2012). Social media is a medium of free participation which can allow communities to participate and try to build a authentic relationship (Narvey, 2009). As per Topolovec-Vranic and Natarajan (2016), more than 40% of the studies found that social media recruitment can be the most successful method compared to traditional methods.

DeleteYes, Chamila in addition, Recruitment can be defined as searching for and obtaining a pool of potential candidates with the desired knowledge, skills and experience to fill job vacancies. “Recruitment process is identification of different sources of personnel requirement to organization. The method is a positive process attracting various aspirants searching for jobs and motivates them to apply for the vacancy specified by the establishment” (Geetha & Bhanu, 2018 p64). Even Browns and sierra telecom had a similar recruitment process; since there are various aspirants searching for jobs. Can we use same processes to the every grade in the organization

ReplyDeleteGood point Rumesh can’t use the same approach for all recruitment, but Sierra Telecom Pvt.Ltd recruitment and selection is more similar to Browns E&C Pvt., Ltd. This is due to the more highly qualified elements of those companies' jobs. The online recruiting process has increased recruitment speed and performance, making applications simpler for applicants and quicker selection for management (Neeraj, 2004).
Adding to your statement on recruitment to obtaining a pool of potential candidates, there are methods of recruitment have been categorized into two headings,
ReplyDelete1. Internal Recruitment
2. External Recruitment
There are both pluses and minuses in both methods.
Yes Isuru I agree with you, further for senior leadership appointments, both internal and external recruiting may be used. In order to hire people already acquainted with the business, internal recruiting is cheaper and faster. External recruiting is where the organization looks at filling the vacancy from within its own employees (Herman Aguinis, 2009).
DeleteThe recruitment and selection have become a challenging process in now a day, it’s directly affects the revenue gaining of an organization, employee turnover rate, level of employee morale and the confidence. Companies should ensure they follow a detailed and well-organized recruitment and selection process (Anderson, 2011).
ReplyDeleteThe most suitable candidate is found after a pool of applicants has been identified via the recruitment process. The aim of the selection process is to guarantee that the best individual is (Ekwoaba, 2004).
DeleteRecruitment can be recognized as finding of the perfect candidate for a specific job, within a given period, in a cost-beneficial manner (Leisink & Steijn, 2008). Recruiting process can be demonstrated as; establish recruitment objectives, developing a strategy, carrying out recruitment activities and evaluating recruitment results. Would like to add to your post the job applicant-related variables that affect the recruitment process (SHRM, 2004).
ReplyDelete• Attracting the attention of targeted individuals.
• Generating individual interest in a job opening: – Position attractiveness. – Expectation of a job offer.
• Accuracy of the applicant’s position expectations.
• The applicant decision-making process: – The decision to apply. – The decision to remain a candidate during the entire recruitment process. – The decision to accept a job offer if one is extended.
Hi Asitha agree with you, recruitment, within a given timeframe, can be recognized as seeking the right candidate for a particular position. Attracting targeted individuals' interest. In a work vacancy, creating individual interest. The expectation of an offer to work (Herman Aguinis, 2009).
DeleteAdding more to your statement ,according to Truesdell and Kelly (2017) attracting candidates to the selection process, technology is playing an increasingly important role in recruiting. Electronic technology has also been used to reduce the number of potential candidates. In particular, using online recruiting can mean that employers receive a large number of applications from inappropriate candidates, so using technology to help manage the application form can also be helpful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sohan agree with you, according to Truesdell and Kelly, technology is playing an increasingly significant role in recruitment. To decrease the number of possible applicants, electronic technology has also been used (Ekwoaba, 2004).
DeleteExcellent recruitment method for organizations that are interested in attracting quality applicants and who are interested in these quality candidates accepting job offers (Breaugh et al., 2003).
ReplyDeleteRecruitment can be described as searching for and acquiring a pool of potential candidates to fill job vacancies with the desired expertise, skills and experience. A selection process, including but not limited to interviewing, reference checking and testing, determines the most suitable candidate or candidates (Ahmad, 2002).
DeleteThe effectiveness of the recruitment has primarily been assessed by examining the rates of turnover, job survival and job performance along with organizational issues such as referrals by current personnel, in-house job postings, and the rehiring of former employees (Zottoli & Wanous, 2000).
ReplyDeleteHi Kelum thanks for your comment in addition Socialization of an organization is when new workers develop the attitudes, expertise, skills and behaviors needed within an organization to work effectively. Socialize new hires into corporate insiders in any competitive organization (Antal, 2013).
DeleteFor a company to stay competitive it must recruit, select and retain an efficient and effective team of employees (Taylor, 2002).

Therefore, it is even more crucial to rely on well-developed recruitment process to avoid future problems (Schatz,T.2019).
ReplyDeleteAccording to (Chapman, Uggerslev, Carroll, Piasentin, & Jones, 2005),traditional recruiting outcomes have been categorized into four major constructs: job pursuit intentions, organizational attraction, acceptance intentions, and job choice.
ReplyDeleteRecruitment and selection is the process of attracting individuals on a timely basis, in sufficient numbers and with appropriate qualifications (Walker, 2009).
